Tips from the pro: These are small tips they may help your course management and practice sessions. They are not designed to completely change your whole game but hopefully they come in handy. New tips will be updated weekly so keep checking back. 1. The average golfer holes 80% of putts from 3 feet but only holes 25% of putts from 6 feet so make sure you practice your distance control to limit 3 putts. 2. Try to keep the same rhythm with all your clubs, just because you have a driver in your hand doesn't mean you have to swing harder. 3. When playing out of deep rough play the ball further back in your stance so you can catch it cleaner. 4. When it is breezy swing it easy, in the wind take an extra club a hit it soft. If you get aggressive in the wind, you put more spin on the ball causing it to balloon. 5. Hole more short putts by concentrating your eyes on a spot directly below the ball, as you hit the putt continue to look at the same spot, don’t look up until you hear the ball go into the hole. 6. When hitting a lob shot let your club do the work of getting the ball in the air. As soon as you try to help it or scoop the ball you will blade/thin the shot most times 7. When warming up always start with some small pitch shots and work your way up to long irons then woods, this will help with rhythm and feel. 8. Become target orientated when playing the game and forget thinking swing mechanics. Save that for the practice fairway. 9. Spend 70 % of you time working from inside 100 metres, that’s where 70 % of your score comes from.
