Holden Young Lions Free Clinics

The Brighton golf academy is extremely proud to have a close association with the PGA and the Holden Young Lions program. Travis Harrison the Head Professional at the Brighton golf academy is also a Holden Young Lions coach in his spare time. This involves travelling around the state, holding free golf clinics to help grow golf within the community. These clinics are held during Pro-am’s, club competition days, charity events, social clubs and many other events. If your are involved in one of these clubs and would like to have Travis and the Holden Young Lion Team conduct at clinic you event, then contact us immediately. Holden Young Lions ready to roar in ‘09
As a new year takes off the Holden Young Lions are already in full stride hosting free coaching clinics in Victoria and New South Wales with the two specially fitted cars set to add that extra special touch to the numerous Holden-related events around Australia.

The 2009 team of Young Lions are currently putting their schedules in place, ready to spread their special brand of golfing goodwill at various events across the country. Your Young Lions team comprises of PGA Professionals:

In 2009 the Holden Young Lions Coaching Program will focus on Holden Dealer visits, pro-ams, community events and local Holden Scrambles. As has been the case in the past, the Young Lions will continue to offer free golf lessons at community based and PGA events, 9-hole playing lessons for Holden Dealers, their clients and staff, while they will also visit dealerships to conduct swing and putting analyses for staff.

All Holden Young Lions State Conveners will aim to build on these initiatives in 2009 and will move forward with new formats in an attempt to generate increased exposure for the program in an effort to reinforce Holden’s commitment to promoting golf at the grass roots level.

About the Holden Young Lions Program

A partnership between GM Holden Ltd and the PGA sees the Holden Young Lions leading the largest golf education program in Australia and further reinforce GM Holden Ltd’s commitment to promoting golf at the grass roots level.

The concept of the program is primarily to support Golf Clubs, PGA Members and Holden Dealers by providing a team of Holden PGA Coaches who visit and coordinate promotional golf instructional programs at a variety of venues and events.

The Holden Young Lions “free” group coaching clinics are open to men, women, seniors, corporate guests and the members and community of the host club/Holden Dealer. On course playing lessons for Holden Dealers and their clients is also a popular extension of the program
